Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for clawdemy.org, the free AI literacy site published by RBJ Global LLC.
What we collect from this site
Section titled “What we collect from this site”Almost nothing personal. Clawdemy does not require an account, does not run analytics, does not have email signup forms, newsletters, contact forms, or comment systems. Cloudflare, our hosting and CDN provider, processes request metadata (including IP address and user agent) for the operational purpose of delivering the site to your browser and protecting against abuse. We do not run our own logging infrastructure on top of this. We do not access Cloudflare’s request data for marketing, profiling, analytics, or audience segmentation. Cloudflare’s privacy practices are described at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
The single exception is the optional star feature, described below.
The star feature
Section titled “The star feature”Each lesson page has an optional star button you can click to signal that the lesson was useful. If you use it, two things happen:
- We set a small first-party functional cookie on your browser named
cw_star_<slug>(where<slug>identifies the lesson) so the same browser does not double-count by clicking again. The cookie holds the literal value1and lives for one year. It contains no identifier, no profile data, and no cross-lesson tracking. See the Cookie Policy for the full breakdown. - We increment a per-lesson aggregate count stored on our server. The count is the total number of stars that lesson has received across all visitors. It is not joined to any identity, IP, or session. We can see “lesson X has been starred 47 times”; we cannot see who starred it.
If you never click a star button, neither of those things happens.
What stays in your browser
Section titled “What stays in your browser”A few small pieces of state are stored locally so the site behaves the way you set it on your next visit. None of this is sent to advertisers, brokers, or third parties. We do not read it server-side to build a profile of you.
- Theme preference (light / dark / auto) in
localStorage. Stays in your browser, never transmitted. - Local star UI state in
localStorageso the “Starred” badge stays visible without a roundtrip to the server. - Sidebar state (which sections you have expanded) in
sessionStorage, cleared when you close the tab.
localStorage and sessionStorage are not cookies. Cookies are sent to our servers automatically with every request; browser-storage values stay in your browser and are never transmitted. We mention them here for full transparency even though it is not technically required.
You can clear all of this at any time from your browser’s “clear site data” feature.
Verification
Section titled “Verification”You can verify these claims yourself. Open your browser’s developer tools, navigate to the Network tab, and reload any page on this site. You will see requests for the page itself, fonts, and stylesheets. You will not see Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking script. Open the Application tab and look at Cookies for clawdemy.org. The list will be empty unless you have starred at least one lesson, in which case you will see one cw_star_<slug> entry per lesson you have starred. Look at Local Storage and Session Storage and you will see only the keys described above.
Sale and sharing of personal information
Section titled “Sale and sharing of personal information”We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or for any other purpose, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar US state privacy laws. Because we do not collect personal information beyond the disclosed star-cookie aggregate, there is no underlying data to sell or share. We do not run a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link because there is no sale or sharing to opt out of.
Search
Section titled “Search”We use Pagefind, a client-side search engine. When you search the site, the index is downloaded to your browser and the search runs entirely on your device. Your search queries are never sent to a server.
Audio lessons (podcast feed)
Section titled “Audio lessons (podcast feed)”If you subscribe to the Clawdemy podcast feed, your podcast app downloads audio files directly from clawdemy.org. The audio files are served from Cloudflare, the same CDN that serves the rest of the site. We do not run podcast-host analytics that match listens to listeners and do not use podcast-tracking services like Chartable, Podtrac, or Spotify for Podcasters analytics. Aggregate request counts at the CDN level exist for operational purposes (capacity planning, abuse prevention) and are not joined to any identity.
GitHub
Section titled “GitHub”Clawdemy’s curriculum is open source on GitHub at github.com/clawless-io/clawdemy. If you star or fork the repo, that interaction is governed by GitHub’s privacy policy, not ours.
Follow on LinkedIn link
Section titled “Follow on LinkedIn link”This page includes a link to our LinkedIn company page. We do not load LinkedIn scripts, set cookies, or track visitors on this site. If you click the link, LinkedIn opens in a new tab and LinkedIn’s own privacy practices apply once you’re there.
EU and UK visitors
Section titled “EU and UK visitors”Clawdemy is published from the United States and is not directed at people in the European Union or the United Kingdom. If you visit from the EU or UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR may give you rights with respect to personal data we hold about you, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, port, or object to processing. Because Clawdemy collects no personal data beyond the per-lesson aggregate star count described above (which is not joined to your identity or device), there is in practice almost nothing for these rights to attach to. If you believe we hold personal data about you and you wish to exercise a right, contact us at the email address in the Contact section. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
Section titled “Children”Clawdemy is open to learners of any age. Consistent with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because Clawdemy has no account system, no forms, no comment system, and no other input mechanism, there is no route by which a child’s personal information could reach us. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has somehow provided personal information, contact us at the address in the Contact section and we will delete it promptly.
Parent company
Section titled “Parent company”Clawdemy is published by RBJ Global LLC. The umbrella privacy policy at rbjglobal.com/legal/privacy applies to the parent company; this policy applies to your interactions with clawdemy.org specifically.
Future changes to these practices
Section titled “Future changes to these practices”Our current data practices are limited to one functional cookie per starred lesson (cw_star_<slug>), described above. We collect no analytics, no advertising data, and no marketing measurement. If our practices change in the future, we will update this policy with a new effective date and clear disclosure of what changed. In particular, if we ever add analytics or marketing measurement, we will update this policy first, deploy any consent mechanism required for your jurisdiction, and describe specifically what is collected and why. We commit to updating before changing, not after.
