Claude Certification (CCA-F), Explained
Facts on this page were verified against Anthropic's public pages as of July 6, 2026. Certification programs change; always confirm on Anthropic's official pages.
In March 2026, Anthropic launched its first technical certification: the Claude Certified Architect, Foundations (CCA-F). If you have seen the name on LinkedIn and wondered what it actually is, whether you can take it, and where the real information lives, this page collects the publicly verifiable facts in one place.
What it is
Anthropic announced the certification on March 12, 2026 as part of its Claude Partner Network launch, describing it as "a technical exam for solution architects building production applications with Claude." The certification's own page says it "validates that practitioners can make informed decisions about tradeoffs when implementing real-world solutions with Claude," across four core technologies: Claude Code, the Claude Agent SDK, the Claude API, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
The exam guide published on Anthropic's Academy page describes the exam's format and content domains. That guide, together with the certification terms and the exam policy, lives on the official exam page, and it is the document to read first.
Who can take the CCA-F today?
As of July 6, 2026, the certification is offered through Anthropic's partner program: it launched as available "today for partners," with certifications earned by individual people through Anthropic Academy exams. It is not yet generally available to the public. Anthropic Academy provides an access request form for those outside a partner organization, and Anthropic's announcement says more certifications are planned, with network partners getting priority access as they roll out.
If that is disappointing, here is the useful reframe: the skills the certification names are all publicly teachable today. Anthropic Academy's free, self-paced courses on the Claude API, Claude Code, and MCP are open to everyone, and they are excellent.
What does the CCA-F cost?
The exam page lists a registration fee of $125. Anthropic's partner announcement notes that tiered partners receive discounted rates on a first attempt.
